Balance of Plant (BOP)
EMC undertakes complete execution of BoP facilities for integrated steel & power plants on turnkey basis. Balance of plant consists of the remaining systems, components, and structures that comprise a complete power plant or energy system that are not included in the prime mover and waste heat recovery (Example:- gas turbine, steam turbine, HRSG, waste heat boiler, etc.) systems. Our capabilities in this segment include:

EHV sub-station and plant electrification for integrated steel & power plants
- LBDS Indoor Sub-stations comprising of Power Transformers, Distribution Transformers, Breaker Panels, Switchgear Panels, Fire detection & fire fighting systems and most advanced SCADA/PLCC Systems for MIS requirement.
Illumination packages for plant and production units
- Plant Illumination & Electrification, Street Lighting
Key Projects Undertaken:
Designing, Civil & electrical contract for IPDC project of SAIL-IISCO’s steel plant at Burnpur in a JV with Areva having the following:
- Over 6.5 km of underground tunnelling for cable laying and cable bridge of 2 km etc.
- 33 kV/6.6 kV Indoor Power Distribution System including LBDS Substations, 33 kV Breaker Panels, 6.6 kV Switchgear Panels, Fire detection & fire fighting systems.
- SCADA integrating to 220/132/33 kV MRS and respective Iron/Steel Units.
